Our process begins the traditional way: by hand. We sketch ideas by hand because it keeps us closely connected to the possibilities of your site and the flow of your home. That hands-on approach extends to every stage of the project, supported by decades of construction knowledge that allow us to design not only with creativity but with confidence.
On the interior design side, we accept a limited number of projects each year. This allows us to maintain the deep level of engagement required to see each project through — from early inspiration to the final installation. We’re not here to rush or replicate. Our commitment is to work collaboratively with you, your builder, and your full team to craft spaces that are cohesive, personal, and timeless.

We take on a limited number of interior design projects each year due to the elevated level of involvement our team dedicates throughout both design and construction. This commitment ensures that every home we design receives the time, attention, and care it deserves. Whether you're engaging our full design team or custom home design services alone, our process is structured, creative, and client-focused—delivered in clear, thoughtful steps:
Initial Consultation
We begin with a site visit to evaluate your property and any existing conditions. This meeting is also an opportunity to explore your vision, lifestyle goals, and aesthetic direction for your finished home.

Initial Sketches
Based on our conversation, we prepare conceptual sketches that explore the functional layout of your home and how best to use the site. These early ideas are shared ahead of a design meeting where we refine the concept together.

Collaborative Design Refinement
Through a thoughtful and collaborative process, we refine the design—layer by layer—until every detail reflects your vision. With each round of feedback, we move closer to a final concept, ready for detailed development.

Interior Vision &
Preliminary Drawings
If you're working with our interior design team, we’ll craft a vision document that combines curated inspiration images, mood boards, and interior concepts. This guide communicates the quality and character of finishes to assist with preliminary builder pricing.
For clients not using our interior design services, this phase focuses on developing preliminary construction drawings to support early project estimates.

Final Refinements & Documentation
Once preliminary pricing is received, we collaborate with you and your builder to refine the design, if needed, to align with your investment goals. We then finalize the construction drawings - ensuring clarity, and precision as your project moves into execution.

Selections & Documentation
Our interior design team works closely with you to make all material and finish selections, ensuring every element reflects your vision and lifestyle. Once selections are approved, we create detailed interior drawings that illustrate finishes to scale throughout the home.
To support seamless execution, we provide your contractor with a comprehensive project binder—complete with elevations, finish plans, and full interior specifications. Our goal is to complete this phase before construction begins, so you can move forward with confidence as your home takes shape.
